Volunteer

Just one hour a week of working with an adult student could change their
life—and yours.

Opportunity:
Project Literacy needs volunteers to work on a one-to-one basis as tutors, helping adults with reading, writing, speaking English, and math at the Ciarco Learning Center,
Main & Passaic Streets in Hackensack, NJ. Our staff will guide you through the necessary steps to becoming a tutor by providing 15 hours of training, matching you with a student whose learning needs fit your abilities, and supporting you in working with your student. If you are interested, please call Project Literacy for information regarding upcoming dates for training at 201-489-7066 or email us at read@project-literacy.org. We would love to hear from you.

Opportunity:

Project Literacy greatly needs volunteers with backgrounds in special education to assist students who have learning disabilities.  If you have this background and would like to be of service, please call us at 201-489-7066 or email read@project-literacy.org
